White Hart on the Green

Lovely, spacious pub with outdoor seating and easy to find as it&rsquo;s beside the A26. The staff were friendly and helpful. A path leading from the spacious car park also allows for a peaceful, rural stroll after you&rsquo;ve eaten, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. Some well-kept Harvey&rsquo;s ale was available, though it would have been nice to have had a wider choice of cask ales. My meal seemed to have been left under a heat lamp for a little too long, leaving it a bit dry on the outside, but this wasn&rsquo;t the case with the other meals and the food was otherwise tasty and good value. Well worth a visit.
